Kicked Up Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
Add your pesto to your ordinary grilled cheese and you will have a winner every time!
Red, White, & Blue Grilled Cheese Sandwich 
Ingredients:
2 Slices Bread: Sour Dough or Multi Grain recommended
2 Tblsps of softened Butter
1 Tsp of Roasted Red Pepper Pesto
1-2 Slice of Cheese (Cheddar or American)
Sprinkle of Crumbled Blue Cheese


Get a hot skillet or indoor counter top grill. In a hot pan take your buttered bread, lay it down, spoon on Roasted Red Pepper pesto, add blue cheese, cheese slice, more bread and butter. Flip and take off when other side has gold brown color. Please keep in mind that the Roasted Red Pepper is much looser. It will melt with the other cheeses, and appear to ooze.

Artichoke Pesto with Baby Spinach Grilled Cheese Sandwich
Same as above, only switch out Roasted Red Pepper Pesto with Artichoke Pesto, add Fresh Baby Spinach and eliminate the Blue Cheese

How to take care of your turkey

  • Thanksgiving Turkey Tips
    Let your turkey thaw in your refrigerator for 2-3 days.
    Place a pan under just in case of any raw turkey juices.
  • Wash your turkey with water. Please don't use soap. Clean the inside too. Turkey does contain Salmonella just like chicken. Pat dry with clean kitchen towel or heavy duty paper towel.
  • Take out any giblets located in the cavity. You would be surprised how many people forget this part. 
  • Season the bird inside and out. Salt and pepper works just fine. There are lots of seasoning on the market including injectors and seasoned butters/oils. Be careful not to have a watery product if you plan on deep frying your turkey. 
  • Let the bird rest upon carving. Turkey is like any other meat; if you don't do this the first piece cut will be juicy and the outcome will be dry. Besides, we are used to eating turkey room temperature anyway. Giblet gravy makes up for the heat.
  • Save the carcass. This makes outstanding stock for Turkey and Ham Bone Gumbo of Turkey Soup  for leftovers. Fried turkeys are wonderful too.
